Andrew and I met while working at a large Healthcare IT Company here in KC, where we both vowed to never date anyone we worked with…boy were we wrong J The funny story around the start of our relationship goes a little something like this: Andrew took the initiative over the work IM system to ask me out by asking me to come join him on a bar crawl with friends one spring weekend in 2015. Instead of asking for my number, he tried to play it cool by giving me his. Only problem was, he was so frantic in giving me his number, he gave me the wrong one by one digit! I actually had tried to text him that day to meetup and never heard back from him. With both of us feeling frustrated and blown off, Andrew went back to the conversation and realized what he had done! Although a bit skeptical, we ended up going on our first official date a week or so later (at the Jacobson), and we have been inseparable ever since. After dating for a little over 2 years, Andrew decided to pop the big question in one of our favorite vacation spots, Santa Barbara, CA! We revisited a beautiful lookout point we had gone to when we first started dating and while I was occupied consuming the breathtaking scenery, Andrew was arranging himself down on one knee to ask my hand in marriage J He was so prepared, he had even looked up a local photographer to capture the moment!
Our KC and St. Louis family traveled down to Dallas, TX this past fall to help us celebrate our love and make everything official on October 20, 2018.
