Justin and I met at a house party where we had mutual friends who wanted us to meet. Immediately I knew he was the one! The relationship was so great and we had so much fun every time we hung out together. Justin proposed at the Lincoln Park Conservatory which is a botanical garden in Chicago. I was already there visiting my sister when he flew in and surprised me there with the proposal! We ended up dating for 4 years before Justin proposed and were engaged for 18 months before our big day!
We started planning for our day when we hired Andrea and Jennifer Hougland of Events with Soul to help us every step of the way. I wanted the day to be relaxed but also modernized. I knew Grand Street Café would give the modern vibe I was wanting along with the amazing food we served at our reception. For something fun, Justin and I served Winstead’s for late night food! Everything about our special day was amazing and we wouldn’t change a thing!
