From the bride:
Daniel and I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he proposed after 3 years together. I’m originally from Kansas City, but actually lived in Tulsa during elementary and middle school. We used to go to Woodward Park as a family growing up, and Daniel took me and our dog Winston there on October 21, 2017 on what I thought was a picnic and ball fetching day. Daniel proposed in the same spot my family and I always went to at the park and once we drove home, our entire family and friends were there waiting to surprise me and celebrate us. It was an amazing day.
Family is a huge part of both our lives and we knew that with our wedding, we wanted it to revolve around family and our closest friends. KC was the perfect place for that and Magnolia was the perfect venue to cater to celebrating as one big group.
One thing I did do as a surprise was had a string trio play during the prelude for our ceremony and I walked down to our song “Stand By Me”. We also surprised our guests with both our favorite meal, chicken nuggets and fries from Chick-fil-A towards the end of the night for a quick snack.
My final thoughts are how much I loved my dress! Not only getting to wear it for the wedding day where I got tons of compliments but also the process in trying on and getting it. My mom, sister and I happened to go into Altar on a whim just to try on dresses for fun and turns out I found THE dress. The whole experience was organic and intimate, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
